Through providing access to a person’s insurance claim file, My Insurance Passport aims to provide consumers with easy access to historical claim information to ensure consumers make the right disclosures and receive the best insurance price possible.
It is important to check what the insurance market knows about your past claim activity. Failure to correctly disclose your historical claim record – or that of a disclosed driver on your policy – could result in a denied or significantly reduced claim payout – potentially costing you thousands of dollars.
The data held on My Insurance Passport is the Australian insurance industries only aggregated claims database. It is the only resource that insurers have available to verify the claims disclosures from their policyholders.
